Amie Good became interested in cosmetics at a young age. When Amie turned 12, she expressed a deep interest in wearing makeup. Her mother thought it best to have her learn proper techniques from professionals.
She enrolled Amie in classes taught by industry pros. She was taught fashion makeup application, shading and many more techniques.
At 15, she began stage training. Amie was trained specifically how to apply makeup for movie sets, stage productions and special effects. This along with many years of practical application of fashion cosmetic techniques made her very well rounded as a makeup artist. At 18, she was a counter manager for a major cosmetic brand and began freelancing doing mostly weddings and photo shoots.
In college, Amie was a chemistry major (analytical brain) with a minor in music (creative brain). She is very well-rounded.
Amie has extensive knowledge of chemistry, which means she can tell one exactly what the product she is using has in it. She also has an extensive knowledge of art theory, human anatomy and physiology.
Amie uses this knowledge in her craft to make the most realistic and safe product she can. After heavily freelancing, she took several years off from major projects but continued to offer training to friends and family on cosmetics. Several years ago, she started heavily freelancing again with more of a focus on film production and special effects. Although, Amie loves film production, she also loves an ever changing scene. She is open to all projects and has experience with almost every genre imaginable as a makeup artist. Amie is 31 with over 15 years of experience.
Amie is currently based out of Eugene, Oregon, but regularly travels the state and is willing to accept projects out-of-town. The directors, photographers, models, designers, etc. that she has worked with in the past would tell that, she is incredibly professional and easy to work with. Amie is punctual, patient and reliable. On top of her career as a makeup artist, she has had a long standing career as a marketing director for a large corporation and has extensive business experience.
Amie has a large supply of cosmetics and everything she needs to shoot on location. When working with directors or photographers she has specific processes and graphics that she uses to help create concepts and proceeds to planning and implementation. Amie has a studio, she uses in her home (specifically for special effects), for major projects this is extremely useful.
